Bon Bon Tie has received funding from the Mike Howley Trust to develop a project for the academic year 2019/2020 in partnership with English Heritage (see ‘current projects’ for more information on how to get involved).
Mike Howley, who worked for many years as Director of Cultural Services for the Isle of Wight Council, died in May 2013. Under the terms of his will, a share of the residue of his estate was left “for the specific benefit of aspiring young actors, musicians, dancers and writers, between the ages of 18 and 30, living on the Isle of Wight”. |
Charlie Bonner of Bon Bon Tie said ‘The financial support from the Mike Howley Trust has enabled me to develop a project that will be free to primary schools on the Isle of Wight between October 2019 and February 2020. I am very excited to be able to offer this opportunity to our local community and can’t wait to share it with KS2 children living on the Isle of Wight.
